Good videos, but it doest make sense that you use the up side down cross in this video. because in Islam Jesus never was crucified, so it doesnt make any sense. I think the up side cross is to represent etheir Peter or Paul?

I would just like to thank the producers of theses clips i think use have done a wonderfull deed and have made an impact on my life and how i looked at it i am not a shame to say that yes i have once been mind controled with this world and it desires but after seeing your film it has really and truely set me free and making me scared of my creator only and knowing there is no other but ALLAH (ALLAH IS THE GREATEST)and i shall never fear any other but Allah. to soundman, this is not bordering hatred it is warning for muslims straight up. We as muslims have been told that t.v is bad it keeps u away from prayers it puts ideas in ur head it keeps u awake thru the night making u sleep during the day. Azhar. I think you put that last comment to Sound Man beautifully. I am a Christian, but as a follower of the one, true God, I applaud your efforts. I have done countless hours of my own research in an attempt to sort out the facts presented in these videos. They may be another’s interpretation, but I must admit it is very very difficult to find any information that discredits their claims. This, in my mind, makes these video’s a very well put argument for a side of the story that is not often seen, and often suppressed. I am doing my best to spread the word, and help those with open minds become ones with open eyes. Keep up the good work. No matter how many turn a blind eye to these facts, God is always watching and knows that you have tried to do good for others.

Sure, TV will keep you awake, if you let it…as for any religion that bans dance, what on earth is wrong with dancing and music? Unbelievable! Clearly if you believe that it is wrong to dance, you have never don eit.
And music, as everyone knows, is the food of love. Are you against love?
I can live without a girlfiend, drugs, telly and music of course, though why anyone would want to is beyond me, and I also do very well physically and spiritually without dogma, prayer, religious leaders trying to tell me what to think and do etc. I work things out for myself, and have an open mind and positive outlook, that, even in the face of stupidity and narrow-minded paranoid conspiracy nonesense such as this sub-Al Qaeda drivle, allows me to embrace all people, all life, with compassion.
If you feel that the majority are against Islam it is because your stance here appears to set you up against them; we have had a lot of experience with integrating other faiths and communities in the West; indeed it is how we have arrived at our society as it stands, which is in no way perfect, and muslims are free to practice their faith, indeed most countries will protect that right by law. So western society and Islam are not in the least incompatible…you will only encounter problems when you try to establish Sharia, Isalmic courts, Islamic shadow parliaments and the like, and practise illegal acts such as honour killings. To oppose the influence of Islam in secular affairs is not evil, or anti-islamic, it is common sense to those who want to protect their freedom in a pluralistic society; those Muslims who seek to homogenise the whole world, who think that there is only Islam and all else is wrong, are living inside their own skulls.
If you want to be closer to what you call God, perhaps you should seek to banish fear, hatred and greed from your hearts. You cannot blame others for your life; the arguments that Tv or video games corrupt morals has little weight statiscally, bad people come from bad family and social backgrounds, for example. And you can’t destroy the evils of the world wihtout love as your motive.
All this saddens me because I know that there are many progressive and open-minded people within the Islamic faith, but it seems that their voices are drowned out by the hysterical and reactionary, indeed the more balanced and well-adjusted one is, the less likely one is to be motivated to engage in this kind of paranoid ‘magical’ thinking.
I wish you all the best in being better human beings, and hope you can try to use your own minds and senses to find a better understanding of the way the life works; if you can do that through Islam so be it.

Appreciating your work but not only here but i have read it elsewhere too.Why is it that when ever Muslims living in Europe/North America(West)talks only about western people.

I agree with your point and infact i think western people should be told and educated about islam more and more as they don’t know the truth (and they say muslims as “terrorist” and this concept is lot there)

I have even read that PEOPLE who know about islam are very less except areas where more muslim majority lives.

But why the message not to all muslims.People there in west are more literated.They can read and write well so in order to tell them about islam it’s exactly osom and great work too.But muslims should also know about it.
In short what i want to say is that not only westerns are being victims of falsehood of media but eastern part is too.Reason: because they are imitating and competing,in this compete they try to follow bolly wood and hollywood cultures.
Many muslims are living in so darkness though we call ourselves muslims.

For them it is part of culture and as muslims we have to spread islam around the world.

Muslims have to be educated too.My personal experience when i see non-muslim i find him/her in best manner than muslim.

Why actually i told all this is because efforts are put more on non-muslims where as muslims are left aside specially muslims living in developing countries.

yes there is one factor when muslims there are being told “this is wrong so they(muslims in pakistan,india,etc) don’t admit,because they get so much addicted to what their ancestors have done and blindly following it”.But does that mean they should be left aside.

It’s not i am trying to criticise,i am just giving you positive feedback.Because this makes muslims suffer from inferiority complex(muslims in east).

Soundman again, i have danced an listened to music probably not what ur used 2, But tupac was my favourite artist u know why cause all he talked about was gunz killing making money with drugs an so on. Now being a kid it dont take much to get influnced does it. firstly music; well if what you listened to as a kid is rubbish like tupac, i can understand you feel misled…but music,as such, is just sound…the music i like feeds my ’soul’ (what you would call it; i don’t think this i need to get into metaphysical debates right now so lets call it that) and raises my spirits, enlightens me and gives me joy; some makes me laugh, some makes me cry…have you never listened to Beethoven or Mozart for pities sake? Music soothes me, even the stuff taht would probably freak you out that I like I find does exactly the opposite to ‘give me a headache’
And when I was a kid i listened to punk rock; this was all about challenging the establshed order, and asserting your right as an individual to think things through for yourself, which is much teh same as teh original hiphop…gangster scum like tupac and that made some interesting music but if you take it out of context of amercian racial ghettoes of teh 80s you’re never gonna get it. I see so many arab kids who listen to this stuff and are wanna be gangsters and yet they conform, pray, fast etc. And have no concept of being poor, discriminated against in impoversihed communities. Not good; indeed your muslim brothers who do live in the real shit are less inclined to imitate Amercian culture, because when you have nothing, perhaps because your own culture means much much more. So I guess maybe we can agree about that.

TV does not cause people to shoot up their schools; slack gun laws and a sick violent culture allows it. You claim (I assume, again allowing you the benefit of the doubt) statistical evidence; please quote your sources. I am aware of no studies that conclusively probe a link between tv violence and video games and such things. These are SOCIAL issues.
I refer you to one of teh most definitive studies; read it carefully or you’ll miss the important bits such as

Well i considered Music and dance as a blessfull gifts from Allah the almighty,Allah gave us feeling and emotion so we can sense art. The most important thing is that you still keep your faith strong no matter how evil the lyrics is or how phat the beat is. You can even use music and dance to promote islam in a positive way so the young generation could easily accept it. We’re not living on a stone age anymore. For me the sound of quran murotal and chopin, both are beautiful and very relaxing. And i agree milk is sucks..dont drink milk when you got diarhea cuz It’s only gonna make it worst. Listen, ive read all the previous comments and i realised that though there is truth in EVERYONES comments, there is also a lot of ignorance.

Im a Muslim, and for most biased people being Muslim is enough. Every Muslim is not perfect, in fact most nowadays are corrupt people living under the name of Musalman! And im not blaming any specific race or type of people. There are major corruptions in the East too though most of the non-Muslims are in the West.

The best thing all debaters should do first is actually understand the concepts of all religions. Sound man, you mentioned honour killings, those ARE done in the east, but the fact is that this is one of the MAJOR VIOLATIONS OF ISLAM. A real Muslim would NEVER do that, its done by EXTREMISTS who twist and turn the message of Islam into a distorted mess. Do not listen to them, instead listen and read the teachings of the Quran and Ahadith.

The westerners think that the Muslims are cruel people who do not know about basic human rights and practice horrendous religious rites. That is the problem, these people are NOT practicing religious rites but TRADITIONAL rites. I personally experienced these events and though I’m only 16 i know what is wrong and right and have developed my own conscience that guides me through life, that i did through studying Islamiat in school.

Christians are not exactly following Jesus’s Commandments either, no people are perfect therefore critisicm is not acceptable unless you do as YOUR religion tells. Allah has said, “Let there be no compulsion in religion.” People, guide yourselves by reading and UNDERSTANDING (with an open mind) Quran and Hadith. Acquaint yourselves with what is wrong and what right. Don’t let my efforts go waste.

Nice sentiments; certainly it would be nice to be able see that there are differences between religion and culture..for my part the juries still out…I thinkn if religion helps you be a better person then its ok. Where it goes wrong is when people take irrational and fundamentalist attitudes to ancient scriptures, try and apply them to the modern world, and whip up hysteria, which I think this series does.
I would say if there is a devil, he’s the devil inside yourself, and that would be the only devil you need to fight.

Dear,May be you aren’t aware of history.When Muslims were at the peak in all fields Europe at that time was in dark ages.Later on many things(like books,etc)were transferred from Muslim world (at that time)to Europe world.
At that time along with Muslims,christians and jews were also working and they never had a fight.They were working hands in hands with one another. Benefiting from each other. But today enemies of all religions don’t want that to happen…

Before you go off on one about history, I take umbrage at your
You talk about academia in the muslim world, but as is still the case, most of the ideas that are generally considered to have endured what we call the Dark Ages (which interestingly enough was the time when religion and superstition, witchunts and persecution of minorites by the ecumenical authorities were the norm- sound familiar) within the Arab world can be traced to their origins in the remnants of the Roman empire, which in turn derived much of it’s science (maths, arts, music, architecture etc) from Greece, which in turn derived from Egypt and so on and so forth. So the Arabs were custodians of much older traditions. Of course all cutlures add to the greater knowledge, hence the synthesis of the indian numerical system (concept of zero etc) and the geometry & maths of the greco-roman system, leading to concepts of algebra.
There are so many cases of where the Islamic world has laid claim to inventions, which were not theirs, or chosen to ignore inventions which dont fit into their world view.
So if you want a proper debate, I would ask you to explain exactly what books you refer to.
The museums in Baghdad were mostly looted by Iraqis; it wasn’t until the USMC secured them that they stopped, and it is one of those marines who has done so much to recover the artifacts from the blackmarket.

Mad conspiracy theories generally help those with an interest in hiding such misdeeds, and the 9-11 truth movement is great example of this; those who dissent against the IOraq war for instance get labelled with them as nuts, regardless of how balanced their views.

So to return to Christian’s point (and it’s about the only one I have common ground with by him(her?)) the makers of this film have appropriated all kinds of disparate sources, not revealing their origins, and foisted a fake, made-up conspiracy theory on you. Their use of copyright material is unlawful, and the uses to which they have put it is beneath contempt. Not even the music is their own intellectual property.

As for not admitting the truth, there is a lot of content in these videos that aim to absolve the Islamic world of the fact that the 9-11 and related attacks were perpetrated by muslims. But this unfortunatley is what happened; muslims need to face up to the fact that they have a problem with extremism and put their house in order. Fear not, we in the west will always strive to deal with the nutters, criminals and gangsters in our own midst when we catch em.
The makers of these films’ motivation is either that, if they can get you to believe this, they can draw you into their dangerous extremist views… or like most of the weirdo-cult conspiracy nuts they quote, they just wanna make a shedload of cash from gulible people. Either way they’ve done it with stolen goods, misquoted people, and even used people who are opposed to everything you profess to stand for. I aim to point these out where I can identify them, not an easy task since the sources are not properly referenced.

It is disingenious to say ‘well they weren’t really muslims cos our religion forbids it’ First of all that is debatable; but lets skip the theological debate. Clearly they felt that they were, as evidenced in the video statements released soon after.
You are going to have to take sides on this one, if you accept the real truth, and that is, that there are elements within Islam that are preparred to do anything, however horrific, to make a point.
And that’s what worries me about these videos…no-one wants to have to accept taht somethign they believe in could be wrong, and so rather than distancing you from teh terrorists, which is teh natural response to such crimes, you are absolved and potentially drawn into their way of thinking.

i cant say about the validity of these videos. since they are just research work done my some students.. although i must say that they have worked hard.. regarding the copyright issue.. i think that these videos were initially made on a small scale.. so.. its ok I GUESS..

producers have crossed the line in some parts to prove their point.. which THEY THINK IS VALID….

i think that no matter what.. we should respect every religion and every person. and respect them for believing in what they believe ….

i always watch with an open mind; however when i see blatant untruths and misinformation being repackaged i will of course speak up, and if possible, offer a more accurate point of view.
re copyright…fine but if they ask for donations or sell copies they are breaking the law. i doubt if loose change or david icke will come after them, cos they love having their ideas propogated, but i can imagine peter jackson, mel gibson and the like wouldn’t be too pleased; its probably beneath their radar so ’small scale’ is all thats in their favour for the copyright breaches there.
actually i am more upset about the MISAPPROPRIATION and MISREPRESENTATION of other peoples work.
you say its easy to criticise but, actually, i have put quite alot of work into pointing out the inconsistancies, untruths and misinformations voiced in this work. i work in film. i know how much work goes into making films, and there is very little original work in this series. that said, if the filmakers were being ironic or creative (for instance have a look at Herzog’s Wild Blue Yonder, which remagines NASA and underwater footage and creates a discrete storyline from it) then i would agree with you.
As for the religious aspect of this work, you may notice that I always step off; I do not wish to attack peoples genuine religious or spiritual convictions. I will however challenge statements and inflammatory remarks that seek to establish false truths, or attack other faiths. I myself am an atheist (surprise surprise) so I am worried when people talk about secularism in these terms; I do not want anyone to attack your religion but I also do not want it forced down mine or anyone elses throat. I do not want anyone telling me what i can or cannot say. And if i speak rubbish in a public forum, I expect to be challeneged on it.

nobody is forcing anything down anyones throat.and there does not exist any wing of islam that says convert or die.this is a very difficult conception to remove from peoples minds when everything on tv makes out that muslims are blood thirsty fiends that are hell bent on converting the world or kill them if they dont.islam was always spread by peaceful means.transmitted to those of intellect and understanding.in the arab world,indonesia and slowly but surely islam is conquering europe.by peaceful means.please study the history of afghanistan as a whole before you develop a conception of the taliban.instead of acting upon what has been fed to you in all those tv shows.read about how the taliban was formed.why it was formed.and who they sought to protect.you will find that the real answers to all these questions are the exact opposite of what has been drummed into your head by evry single american tv show.i pray that the Almighty leads us all to what is best for us.that which allows us to reach the pinnacle of our existence.
